Patch 1.5.9 The Royal Court

Hey Townies!

Patch 1.5.9 is here and a lot of changes have come with this patch, and we have a lot of changes are still planned for the future. In this patch we made some balance changes, and reworked the Disguiser as a role! Gone are the days of getting screwed by someone writing their name in their will. We have also limited the amount of trials players can have a day, and have added Turkish queues to the game. Check out more information on all of this and more below!

Bug Fixes:

(Mobile)
Fixed a bug where players who were being seanced were not able to talk to the Medium that night.
Put in a notification to let players know if they don't have enough space.
Fixed an issue that was causing the friends list to not sort alphabetically some times.
Added a loading message to images that haven't loaded in the shop or customization yet.
Fixed a bug that would cause your messages with a friend to be erased from the message box if you joined a lobby sometimes.
Fixed several issues that were causing crashes for both Android and iOS.

(Non-Mobile)
Fixed a problem with the Demon death sound file.
Fixed a bug that was causing players to sometimes not be invitable if they left the end game screen before you did.
Fixed several characters who had names that were out of place.
Fixed a few spelling/grammar errors in messages from the game.


Game Changes:
Turkish queues! These Turkish queues will allow anyone who wishes to play the game in Turkish to do so. Now while this isn't a full translation of the game, it will be our first push into localizing the game to other languages.
Merit Points added! Merit points are the new free currency you will get from playing games,and earning achievements. Town Points are now a premium currency. Don't worry though! All the Town Points everyone currently have will stay as Town Points.
Disguiser Rework! The Disguiser can now "disguise" as a player's role every night, appearing to be that role to the invest, or in the role list if killed. That change adds a new layer of deception as players can't just look at the role list to see if your role is possible all the time anymore. This can get "proven" roles killed potentially, or just throw confusion as to what roles are even possible around in the game.
Witch Buff! The Witch will know role the role of the players that they control. This should help the Witch to control the right players into doing the right actions rather than controlling that Medium to visit the Jester 4 nights in a row.
Trials Have been limits to 3 per day! This change will help to address the problem know to the community as VFR, or Vote For Roles. This strategy is abusive in the way that players are all voted up to claim a role, and if they don't they are hanged. This doesn't flow with the spirit of the game, and we are doing something to limit it some.

For those of you who knew what change WAS being made to the transporter we have decided NOT to move forward with it.

Some of you may have seen by now, but we are in the early design stages of a new system that will allow players to taunt other players. Be sure to check out the main thread for that, and keep the conversation going in the chat!

Taunt/Emote System

Hey Townies!

With patch 1.5.9 on the verge of going live (just squashing the last few bugs) I want to talk about a new system we are designing for patch 1.6.0+. This system is still at the design level so this is your chance to provide feedback!

Taunt/Emote System
The taunt/emote system will allow players to anonymously interact with each other in-game by creating visual objects in the town.

Examples
-Player 1 taunts Player 7 by dropping a tombstone that says "RIP" at his feet. Player 7 does not know who taunted him.

-Player 2 taunts Player 10 at night by summoning an eerie figure who starts digging a grave in front of Player 10's house.

-Player 5 taunts Player 11 by summoning a dog that walks up and pees on your character/dead body/house.

Important Notes:
*The taunt/emote system can be used at night (as well as day)
*The taunt/emote system can be used to trick players into performing actions they may not normally do (if you use a scary taunt at night that player may use a self heal, their last bullet proof vest or go on alert!)
EDIT: People seem to be confused about this part. It DOES NOT "force" a player to use a night ability. It is simply a mind game tactic. Maybe taunting them makes them think they will be attacked and thus they use a night ability in a way they may not have otherwise.
*There will be a global cooldown on taunts/emotes against the same player to prevent multiple players from spamming the same person
*There will be a cooldown on each players ability to taunt/emote to prevent spam
